A quick little note

Tomorrow we are headed to Raleigh to celebrate Jeff's nephews birthday!!! He is having a Lego cop themed party!!! I knew about this months ago but I'm a slacker! Since I LOVE themed parties and getting into the themes I decided the boys needed an outfit! I was unable to find any fabric I liked so this is what I came up with! It looks terrible up close but hey it'll work!

Quilling Just a quick post!

I just wanted to share real quickly my LOVE of Quilling, or paper filigree, or rolled paper! Whatever you want to call it! I have been playing around with it for a few years. It can be fun and frustrating all at the same time! I recently made a quilled card for a The Very Hungry Caterpillar themed baby shower for my future sister in law! It was tons of fun to make and surprisingly I didnt get too frustrated at myself... the paper... or the glue!

I apologize for the picture, I guess I deleted the pictures! I found this one through my instagram! 

All you need are a few basic supplies!

Quilling Paper ( My local Hobby Lobby has it!)

I use plain Cardstock paper for the actual card!

I used an Instant Setter to make the polka dots.

A quilling slotted tool to roll the paper

Sometimes I need my thin tweezers.

Glue

I'm a Hair Designer not a photographer! :) I do enjoy taking pictures I'm just not good at it!

The Twins First Birthday is RAPIDLY approaching!... Sort of!

Well their birthday isn't until September but in my eyes it is RAPIDLY approaching! Since I am a lunatic, I have been brainstorming and working on a few things for their party! This party is more for me than them... Of course they will see the pictures when they are older but until then it is my time to celebrate and "create" as I wish!

I love trains! I always have and probably always will! North Carolina has a WONDERFUL transportation museum, but I don't want to have their first birthday there as I feel they would not really care or enjoy it! At least if we have it at home we can always sneak away for nap time! If you are in the Salisbury area you should check this place out!

Niki and Billy's Baby shower! Now we just have to wait for Mr. Connor

 Baby showers are so much fun! There is nothing more exciting than celebrating the soon to be arrival of a new baby!!! I had the privilege to celebrate and photograph the wonderful event for my future Sis in Law, Niki! Evia, my other amazing, super talented and creative Sis in Law did an amazing job with the Very Hungry Caterpillar themed shower!! No detail was left out! My future Mother in Law did a great job with all the food as well!

Ok... Im not any good at "Blogging"

So I've finally admitted to myself that maybe this isn't for me! I thought I would spend more time on this than I actually am. I cant even remember the last time I posted!

Anyway, lets see well my boys are 9 months now and I am trying to get everything organized for their big FIRST Birthday!! I know they could care less about it But its really just for me! I have been working on a few things for their party maybe I will post a few sneak peek pictures...
